Welcome to Pilates 4 you!
Joseph Pilates developed his training method over a hundred years ago to loosen and stretch muscles and ligaments so that the body becomes as supple as the cats he observed during his time in England.
He was looking for the complete coordination of body, mind and soul, reaching suppleness and natural grace.
Pilates strengthens the body and frees the mind.
I have been training with Giedrė Pilates for 5 years. I notice how much it helps when I take a longer break of 3-4 weeks, because then my shoulder pain returns. As soon as I do Pilates again, the pain stops. I also really enjoy doing it with Giedrė because she is always varying the exercises, it never gets boring. Sometimes she has rubberbands, sometimes Pilates rings. She focuses on each individual, checks whether you've tensed your muscles correctly and she tries to help each individual to progress. If you have any problems, you can tell her and she'll do extra exercises to make it better. I'm totally enthusiastic and really enjoy doing it. I really enjoy training Pilates with Giedrė.

Dancers, swimmers, runners and desk workers benefit balanced muscle building while reducing tension.
Pilates is also very effective as a pelvic floor training and is ideal after childbirth or when the bladder can no longer be fully controlled.
We are offering mat courses in small groups of of 12 people max. This enables the trainer to provide individual support at all times. She keeps an eye on everyone during training and corrects them if necessary.
For training you will need a Pilates mat (which is at least 1.5 cm thick and much more comfortable than a yoga mat), non slipping socks, leggings, a tight shirt and a small towel or blanket that you can fold and place under your head or back. Rings, bands, balls, etc. can be lent to you by the trainer if required.
